♟️ Domino Draw Duel
Domino Draw Duel is the classic table game of bones and matching ends, played one-on-one against a shrewd owl. You both start with seven tiles from the double-six set, and a snaking chain grows across the green baize as you take turns. On your turn you place a tile whose end matches one of the two open ends of the line; when nothing in your hand fits, you draw from the boneyard until you find a play or run dry. The first player to empty their hand wins outright — but if the game jams and neither side can move, it is decided the old-fashioned way, by counting pips, with the lighter hand taking the win. Beneath the simple matching lies real tactics: which end to feed, when to dump a heavy double, and how to starve your opponent of the numbers they need. The owl plays to shed its biggest tiles and keep its options open, so reading the open ends and managing your own suits is the key to victory. Every tile is drawn with crisp, countable pips, and the open-end values are always shown. No download, no sign-up — just match, draw and out-think the owl, one bone at a time.
How to play
- You and the owl each start with seven tiles; the rest form the boneyard.
- Play a tile whose end matches an open end of the chain.
- Draw from the boneyard when you have no legal tile.
- Be the first to empty your hand to win the round.
- If the game is blocked, the lighter pip count wins.
