1. Information we collect
We aim to collect as little personal data as possible. Depending on how you use the Service, we may process:
- Information you provide — your name, email address and message when you contact us via our forms or email.
- Automatically collected data — device type, browser, operating system, referring page, approximate region, and pages viewed. This is gathered through privacy-friendly analytics and standard server logs.
- Gameplay data — non-identifying information such as high scores or preferences, which may be stored locally in your browser (localStorage) or our backend to improve your experience.
- Payment data — if you make a purchase, payment details are collected and processed directly by our payment processors (see Section 5). We do not store your full card or banking details on our servers.
2. How we use your information
- To operate, maintain and improve the Service and its games.
- To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support.
- To display and measure advertising (see Section 4).
- To process transactions and prevent fraud.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to run essential features, remember preferences, measure traffic and serve advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings. For full detail, see our Cookie Policy.
4. Advertising & Google AdSense
We use third-party advertising companies, including Google AdSense, to serve ads when you visit the Service. These companies may use cookies and web beacons to deliver and measure advertising.
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
For users in the EEA, UK and other applicable regions, we present a consent prompt before non-essential advertising and analytics cookies are set, consistent with Google’s certified Consent Management Platform requirements.
5. Payments
Where the Service offers paid features, purchases are processed by trusted third-party payment providers:
- Razorpay — for payments originating in India.
- Dodo Payments — as our international merchant-of-record / payment provider.
When you pay, you provide your payment information directly to these processors, whose use of your data is governed by their own privacy policies. We receive only limited transaction information (such as a confirmation, the last digits of a card, and billing region) needed to fulfil your order and meet tax and accounting obligations. Please review the Razorpay Privacy Policy and Dodo Payments Privacy Policy.
6. Third-party services we rely on
- Cloudflare — content delivery, security and cookieless Web Analytics.
- Supabase — backend database and storage.
- Resend — transactional and contact-form email delivery.
- Zoho Mail — our support inbox.
- Google AdSense — advertising.
7. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers listed above to operate the Service, when required by law, or to protect our rights, users and the public.
8. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described here, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Contact-form emails are retained for support history and then periodically deleted.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. These include rights under the EU/UK GDPR, the California CCPA/CPRA, and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. To exercise any right, email us at hello@arcadeowl.com.
10. Children’s privacy
The Service is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) without verifiable parental consent. Advertising shown in clearly child-directed sections is configured for non-personalised, family-safe delivery. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
12. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
